Sorry for the delayed response: The photo was taken in Paris in the small alleys near St-Michel. Nevertheless, in the cold season (months with an R) you can enjoy seafood platters in Vevey.

That evening it was rather a bit dull, and that's why the setting sun looks quite different.
The situation Christine described, we have experienced as well. Sometimes it's a matter of minutes to capture a beautiful image.
Fortunately, it is a natural spectacle that basically happens every day, so we will surely have many more opportunities to take beautiful photos.

I almost missed this sunset. At first, the sky was just cloudy, then the mood changed very quickly. It took valuable minutes until I got to the lake by car, as the driver in front of me apparently also enjoyed the sunset while driving. But I just made it in time.

No, seriously, the picture is beautiful, especially because of the relaxing emptiness on the beach.
The plastic palm leaves processed into pixels and sent through the cables from the coast to the Alps are very well received here.

You are right, if I had photographed this spot in summer, you probably wouldn't see much sand. ☺
That's why we prefer to go to the North Sea in spring or autumn, even in winter. These seasons are better suited for hiking and photography.
