Guten Morgen Hans und Jeanny,
Ich freue mich das euch das Foto gefällt.
Wie ihr ja wisst bin ich zur Zeit ans Haus gebunden, aber ich hoffe das Stefan mich vielleicht einmal mit dem Auto an den See fahren kann damit ich doch noch einen Sonnenuntergang fotografieren kann.

am Genfer See hatte ich die Palmen durchaus erwartet, aber am Thuner See waren sie doch etwas außergewöhnlich. Sie stehen aber alle in Kübeln, damit sie an einem wärmeren Ort überwintern können.

I just had to photograph this play of colors in nature. It is only this clear on days following heavy rainfall, like the one the day before.

Naja, ich zum Beispiel verwende so gut wie keine Computerprogramme um meine Bilder zu optimieren, bei mir ist so gut wie alles Original!
Das war letzten Freitag schon gut, dass ich erst nach dem Fotografieren aufs Gäubodenfest nach Straubing gefahren bin :-), weil nach 6 Massen geht fotografieren einfach nimmer!

@Tobias: also wir müssen Stefan in Schutz nehmen. Das Bild ist natürlich eine Fotomontage, ein so großes Glas hätte er nicht geschafft. ☺
@Stefan: Es gab für uns nur schöne Momente an diesem 2. August: Die einzigartigen Marchés Folkloriques, die ruhige Schifffahrt, das ausgezeichnete Mittagessen und der verdauungsfördernde Spaziergang danach. Und das alles bei herrlichem Wetter: Einfach perfekt!

Dass es eine Fotomontage war ist mir schon aufgefallen! Als ich das Bild im kleinen sah, dachte ich zuerst, dass das Glas auf einem Tisch steht, wo im Hintergrund der Stafen sitzt, aber als ich es angeklickt hatte, erkannte ich es am Glas selbst, denn der Hintergrund müsste sonst anders aussehen! Aber trotzdem gut gemacht!

Hallo Stefan,
dass manche eidgenössische Berge zu scheu sind, um sich zu zeigen, haben wir einige Male erlebt. Nicht nur an diesem Tag die Dents-de-Midi, auch die Jungfrau versteckte sich hartnäckig hinter den Wolken, als wir am Niesen-Kulm waren. Dass eine Jungfrau so scheu ist, kann man durchaus verstehen. ☺

hei ihr zwei, das ist wirklich ein Postkartenmotiv - ein wirklich schönes Bild einer faszinierenden Gegend, und das was so scheu ist....na ja, vielleicht will dieser Berg nur näher betrachtet werden.

I think it is easier to capture the interest of viewers with a train photo than with a landscape image. But anyone who photographs a simple cornfield, chooses a calm yet interesting sky as the background, and then introduces the classic rule of thirds in the composition through the tractor track, truly understands photography - great picture!

Thank you very much for your kind comment and your praise. I'm very glad that you like the picture.
I discovered the field with the tracks during a small midday bike ride, but the light was still too harsh then. So I decided to sacrifice the evening's European Championship match for the picture and went back to Spitz - a decision I have not regretted ;-)

There are people who travel to Kenya to photograph elephants and others who journey to Ireland to capture rainbows – well, the distant is so close, elephant gray near Ulm and the infinitely colorful palette near Ettelbruck – how wonderfully small the world is.

you have to be at the right place at the right time. ☺ Although that is not entirely true in this case. We were at the Ettelbrück train station 10 minutes earlier, but the rainbow was not there yet. If we had gone back, it might have already disappeared. So we took the pictures right there.

Yes, the lake is really beautiful and on that day, after a long period of rain, it was really full. We had actually planned to hike around it on a circular trail like the year before, but at that time it was impossible because the path was submerged under about half a meter of water in places.
