Good evening Jeanny,
beautiful photo. Especially the palm trees in the foreground give the image a special touch.
Best regards, Christine

Thank you Christine,
I definitely expected the palm trees at Lake Geneva, but at Lake Thun they were somewhat unusual. However, they are all in pots so they can be overwintered in a warmer place.
Greetings from Luxembourg.

Good morning Hans and Jeanny,
I am glad that you like the photo.
As you know, I am currently tied to the house, but I hope that Stefan might be able to drive me to the lake sometime so that I can still photograph a sunset.
Best regards, Christine

Good evening Christine,
a wonderful picture from a beautiful area and, as it looks, we can already look forward to this vintage. ☺

Hello Hans and Jeanny,
I just had to photograph this play of colors in nature. It is only this clear on days following heavy rainfall, like the one the day before.
By the way, the vintage looks very promising.
Best regards, Christine

What a beautiful view. If I understand correctly, it’s not that far from you, right? In any case, this is also a postcard-worthy scene. My compliments.

Good evening Stefan,
Thank you for the comment. This hiking trail is only 15 kilometers from Blonay and is easily accessible by train.

Oh my! Stefan - our sunny boy :-)
But don't drink too much of that wine while photographing, so the pictures don't come out crooked :-) :-)
Well spotted!
Cheers, Schumi

undeniably, between pixel and 1/250 the pleasant moments of a photo tour...

there are computer correction programs for crooked images...

Well, for example, I hardly use any computer programs to optimize my images; almost everything I have is original!
It was already good last Friday that I only went to the Gäubodenfest in Straubing after taking photos :-), because after 6 Maß beers, you just can't keep photographing!

Hello everyone,
@Tobias: well, we have to defend Stefan. The picture is of course a photomontage, he wouldn't have managed such a large glass. ☺
@Stefan: For us, there were only beautiful moments on this 2nd of August: the unique Marchés Folkloriques, the peaceful boat trip, the excellent lunch, and the digestion-promoting walk afterwards. And all of this in wonderful weather: simply perfect!
Greetings from Luxembourg.

Hello everyone,
I really like this photomontage. A great idea that made me laugh a lot. It reflects a wonderful day we spent together.

I already noticed that it was a photomontage! When I first saw the image in small size, I thought the glass was standing on a table with the Stafen sitting in the background, but when I clicked on it, I recognized it by the glass itself, because otherwise the background would have to look different! But still well done!

Hello Jeanny,
Really, like a postcard, if it weren't for the shy Dents de Midi, which unfortunately hide behind clouds all too often this year...

Hello Stefan,
we have experienced a few times that some Swiss mountains are too shy to reveal themselves. Not only the Dents-de-Midi on this day, but also the Jungfrau stubbornly hid behind the clouds when we were at Niesen-Kulm. One can certainly understand that a Jungfrau is so shy. ☺
Thank you for the kind comment.
Best regards
Hans and Jeanny

Hey you two, this is really a postcard motif - a truly beautiful picture of a fascinating area, and what is so shy.... well, maybe this mountain just wants to be looked at more closely.

Hello Johannes,
I think it is easier to capture the interest of viewers with a train photo than with a landscape image. But anyone who photographs a simple cornfield, chooses a calm yet interesting sky as the background, and then introduces the classic rule of thirds in the composition through the tractor track, truly understands photography - great picture!
Best regards
Stefan

Hello Stefan,
Thank you very much for your kind comment and your praise. I'm very glad that you like the picture.
I discovered the field with the tracks during a small midday bike ride, but the light was still too harsh then. So I decided to sacrifice the evening's European Championship match for the picture and went back to Spitz - a decision I have not regretted ;-)
Best regards,
Johannes

There are people who travel to Kenya to photograph elephants and others who journey to Ireland to capture rainbows – well, the distant is so close, elephant gray near Ulm and the infinitely colorful palette near Ettelbruck – how wonderfully small the world is.

De Rond Hans und Jeanny 19.8.2008 16:50 19.8.2008 16:50
Hello Christine and Stefan,
you have to be at the right place at the right time. ☺ Although that is not entirely true in this case. We were at the Ettelbrück train station 10 minutes earlier, but the rainbow was not there yet. If we had gone back, it might have already disappeared. So we took the pictures right there.
Thanks for the nice comment.

Hello Stefan,
Thank you very much for your kind feedback here as well.
Yes, the lake is really beautiful and on that day, after a long period of rain, it was really full. We had actually planned to hike around it on a circular trail like the year before, but at that time it was impossible because the path was submerged under about half a meter of water in places.
Best regards,
Johannes

Lead-heavy clouds, dull the sea, and sitting in the pub, one tugs at the curtain, hoping that the cool wind might just tear a hole in the cloud cover...
This exact mood is what this excellent image conveys to me.
Best regards
Stefan
