an impressive shot. How should one imagine the swallowing of the lighthouse? Does it slowly sink into the sand, similar to a bog?

In this case, "swallowing" means that the dune keeps advancing and covering it with sand, although this will not happen all the way up to the top of the tower. The tower is probably already about 50% buried in sand. Since this is a migrating dune, it is possible that as it continues to move, the tower will eventually stand completely free again. The houses that stood around the tower are already completely covered with sand and destroyed.

diesbezüglich hättest Du dort ganz schlechte Karten, der nächste Pub dürfte zig Kilometer entfernt sein... während ich mich ganz entspannt mit einem " Sack" Teebeuteln in dem Stall einnisten würde.

Thanks for the comments; a rainy day, and instead of a scenic cliff hike, we took a bus tour – and once again I managed to capture an atmospheric image, one rarely found on a postcard.
By the way, we suspect the mouse hole is on the right side: a rather narrow harbor entrance...

solche Fotos gehören für mich zu den Königsdisziplinen des Fotografierens, da sich ratzfatz rosafarbene Reflektionen und/oder Sonennflecken einschleichen (bei meinen Fotos zumindest).

Guten Abend Marina, eine wunderschöne Cliff of Moher Aufnahme hast du uns aus Irland mitgebracht. Sie unterscheidet sich nicht nur von der Blickrichtung, sondern auch vom Wetter her grundsätzlich von den meinigen, was wiederum die einmalige Vielfältigkeit Irlands unterstreicht.

Hallo Stefan,
danke Dir. Wir hatten hinsichtlich des Wetters enormes Glück - 1,5 Tage Regen in 16 Tagen. Allerdings hatten wir nicht mit solch eisigen Windverhältnissen gerechnet, beim nächsten Mal werden wir darauf vorbereitet sein ;o). Selbst bei schlechtem Wetter und Einsatz eines Pol-Filters sind unsere Objektive noch lichtstark genug, um die unglaublichsten Fotos zu liefern... wir sind manchmal selbst verblüfft. Mir gefallen Deine Cliffs of Moher Fotos sehr gut, vergleichbare Aufnahmen habe ich nicht mitbringen können. Das macht für mich einen Teil der Faszination aus... einen unvergleichbaren Moment oder Eindruck mit der Kamera " einfangen" zu können.

ich glaube, da sind wir uns einig: Irland kann man nicht sehen, Irland muss man erleben! Und dieses " Erleben" in Fotos einzufangen ist nicht immer einfach. Ich hatte jahrelange eine " Spezialkamera" dazu: Ein Kugelschreiber und einige Blatt Papier, dir jedoch ist es gelungen die Faszination Irlands bildlich eindrücklich festzuhalten, so das Anschauen deiner Bilder zum Erlebnis wird.

The photo stop is quite nice, but the recorded chanting and the women dancing in front of the waterfall could be skipped.
To take a decent picture, you have to wait until most of the tourists are back on the train.

when I first saw the Huldra at the waterfall and heard the droning music from the tape, I laughed so hard I slapped my thighs! This nonsense was copied by the Flåm tourist office from the USA. Many years ago, the chairman proudly told this once in the Baltic Sea report.

Hallo Karsten,
während der Bauzeit des Lærdaltunnels hat das norwegische Verkehrsministerium eine Studie in Auftrag gegeben, die Untersuchungen zu langen Tunnelfahrten machen sollte. Schließlich war es der erste Autotunnel mit solch einer Länge. Die Untersuchung hat ergeben, dass langes unterirdisches Autofahren die Sinne vernachlässigt und die Aufmerksamkeit rapide schwindet. Dies kann umgangen werden, wenn im regelmäßigem Abstand dem menschlichen Auge Sonnenlicht simmuliert wird. So kam man auf den Gedanken an den Kilometern 6, 12 und 18 die drei " Lichtschleusen" zu bauen. Gab es bei Eurer Fahrt durch den Tunnel irgendwelche Arbeiten? Immer wenn wir durchfuhren, gab es kleine Bastelein oder Reinigungen. Ich vermute, dass damit auch die Aufmerksamkeit der Autofahrer gefördert werden sollte. Hier sind noch ein paar Fotos:
