Thank you very much, Helmut! :-) I discovered this perspective out of necessity because the monument simply didn’t fit into any landscape-oriented image due to its vertical dimensions. So I walked around up there a bit, and suddenly I spontaneously liked this rear view: The emperor looks out over the land he once ruled – and the viewer looks over his shoulder from a respectful distance and hidden behind trees! The trees integrated into the image are meant to distract from the fact that the monument doesn’t fully fit into the frame. ;-)
Greetings from Saalfeld

Christine, thanks for the praise and at the same time, thanks back from me for (among other things) this picture. Best regards, Rolf

Hello Gerd,
that was a beautiful fireworks display.
I have never managed to capture such shots, so I admire them all the more.

...yes, really the fireworks of the city & the fire department are always a local event, with only a few pictures turning out well. Special settings for this image were aperture 8 at 2.5 s and ISO 400 (otherwise f 9 at 2.5 s & ISO 100). As you can tell from the shutter speed, this only works with a tripod, remote release, "stabilization off" & a bit of luck. Thanks Christine for looking in. Regards GW

Brrr, my fingers are getting ice cold while typing...
An impressive shot from last winter, let's see how it will be this year.

Hello Rolf,
you have photographed the fruits of the spindle tree, albeit with strong magnification.
In reality, they are about the size of a smaller hazelnut; the ornamental shrub on which they grow is found in our gardens and parks.
Best regards, Rainer

Hello Helmut,
I have never seen the Baltic Sea so stormy before, but it was very impressive!
I still have some pictures from that day and will upload some more in the ship photos section.
Thanks for your comment.
Best regards, Christine

A beautiful image, Jonas.
At first glance, it appears high-contrast and cool, but then, on a second look, very sensitive, gentle, and warm.
Warm regards
Stefan and Christine

Hello Gerd,
"Little man stands in the forest..." spontaneously comes to mind for this very successful shot.
Great photo.
