Fondue formidable, in with the fork....." once sang Vico Torriani. Long, long ago, but it immediately reminded me of it.

Yes Hans-Gerd, although most people today no longer know who Vico Torriani was, let alone know his songs.
In any case, I am glad that the recording reminded you of the beautiful song.
Best regards

Yes Helmut, without the fork the picture would be more boring.
Thank you very much for your kind words, which I was very happy about.
Best regards

Hello Jeanny,
while browsing through pictures, this image keeps catching my eye. It is a truly successful evening mood of/on/with Lake Geneva.

Hello Andreas,
aside from the train pictures, I came across this beautiful image of yours. The highlight would have been if a Claas combine harvester had been working in the foreground.

Hans-Gerd

Hello Hans-Gerd, I don't just hang around railway embankments. I got this "shot" on a guided bike tour through the Selfkant. The association "Westblicke," which was founded by women from the Heinsberg district... also organizes these tours for a small fee. I think it would have been a coincidence if I had caught a combine harvester, and then a Claas at that. So you'll have to imagine it that way... thanks for your comment, and maybe you’ll check out Westblicke online sometime... it’s worth it. Best regards, Andreas

I can remember people running around there in shorts and sandals.. But it was impressive, especially the sharp transition from green to white.

Thank you, Helmut. I am drawn to areas that are somewhat off the beaten tourist path, but still not complete wilderness.

Hello Hans-Gerd, these are the rare moments when you immediately know this could turn out well. Set up the tripod, attach the flash (otherwise the inside of the "window" would be hopelessly dark), and go. I had this image printed on canvas (with slightly subdued colors), even my wife likes it ;-))

Hello Thomas, I came across your photos through your comment on the Rheingold train. For each and every landscape photo, one could write a positive comment.
