Palü Glacier on 14.10.2008. The glacier is currently melting rapidly due to climate warming and is likely to disappear within 30 years. In 1910, the ice mass still filled the valley floor at the bottom edge of the image.

1. Warnemünde Sand World, an exhibition of international artists who create sand sculptures. Tents were set up around the figures to protect them from rain. The location is Warnemünde, right next to the ferry terminal to Hohe Düne, on the grounds belonging to the strawberry farm "Karl's".
On the right side of the image, seen through the tent, is the Hohe Düne Marina Residence.
