While it is cold where you are and the sun creates a beautiful winter atmosphere, we have 11 degrees Celsius, birdsong, and magnolia trees already budding.

It was quite difficult to capture the beauty of the snowy landscape reasonably well on the sensor. That’s why I, against all artistic rules, photographed towards the sun to show the sparkle of the snow and ice on the trees. I’m glad that my attempt pleases you.

ich hätte dir gerne ein Päckchen Neuschnee nach Thailand geschickt, aber es ist 11 Grad warm und die ganze weisse Pracht ist geschmolzen!
Was bleibt ist sind die Winteraufnahmen...

Deine Winteraufnahmen gefallen mir sehr gut. Es ist wahrlich eine Kunst bei diesem grauen Wetter solch tolle Aufnahmen zu machen. Chapeau!
Bei uns gab es über einen Monat eine geschlossene Schneedecke, aber leider nur einige sonnige Tage, an denen es sich gelohnt hat Fotos zu machen. Jetzt haben wir die große Schmelze und überall lauert die Gefahr des drohenden Hochwassers.

An diesem Tag hatte es die ganze Nacht geschneit und als ich draussen war, war der nächste Schnee gerade im kommen!
In der Zwischenzeit ist alles weg, es scheint die Sonne und ist 11 Grad warm! Heute ist der 7.1.2011!

schade dass es keine duftende Bilder gibt.
Aber beim Anblick dieses wunderschönen Bildes braucht es nicht allzuviel Phantasie und man kann den Lavendel und damit die ganze Provence riechen.

I can very well understand that you miss winter. Even though we sometimes curse the cold, it also has its beautiful sides.
Unfortunately, I could only partially capture the mood that prevailed in the little forest on the sensor. The setting sun transformed the ice-covered trees into a sea of a thousand lights; it was a magnificent sight, even if it was only for a short time.

Ich muss das jetzt loswerden.
Martin, ich finde des Foto echt sowas von genial.
Hier passt einfach alles. Bemerkenswert sind die wunderbar sichtbaren Flocken. Der Rahmen ist auch sehr passend, wenn auch etwas groß aber gut!
Meiner Meinung nach das bisjetzt beste Bild von dir!

Danke Hubert, an jenem Tag konnte ich bei viel Wind tolle Übungen von Gleitschirm-Surfern (Kitesurfing) dort beobachten.
Ja, Mönchgut gefällt auch mir richtig gut.

There was also a bit of luck involved. Normally, there are water fountains at this spot, which are also very pretty, but they were probably turned off that day. Otherwise, the water of the Wark wouldn't have been so calm, and such a picture wouldn't have been possible.
In any case, I'm glad you like the image.
