Good thing it is signposted, otherwise no one would have noticed the flood and might have gone for a walk in the water!! Remagen 16.12.2023

The Saale is currently experiencing flooding, with warning level 2 already exceeded. View of the Saale at the Ziegelwiese looking north. Although it may seem otherwise, other areas are more heavily flooded. [6.1.2018 | 11:42 AM]

The SIEG WATERFALL near SCHLADERN with the current winter flood on 3.2.2016.
North Rhine-Westphalia's largest waterfall is not of natural origin, but was created during blasting operations for the construction of the Cologne-Gießen railway line in 1857/58.
At low water levels, the tiered rock formations can be clearly seen,
but during the current flood, enormous volumes of water thunder down... truly impressive!!!
