Here you can see the company building of AKW-Kick Werk Schnaittenbach along with the associated kaolin pits. Since the factory building is situated on a very good kaolin deposit, it is now slowly being mined to extract the high-quality kaolin. (19.08.2005)

Here you can see the easternmost kaolin pit in the Kaolin basin. It belongs to the company AKW-Kick and is gradually being filled in again because the kaolin has already been extracted. When all the kaolin deposits are exhausted, a lake landscape will emerge from it.
