Since 1984, the Frøslev-Jardelunder Moor has been under nature protection on the German side and since 1985 also on the Danish side. The moor was once drained to extract peat. However, in 1988, the state of Schleswig-Holstein and Sønderjylland signed the cross-border program for renaturation. This program was implemented between 1993 and 1995. Photo taken: July 30, 2023.

The stone in the landscape marks the southernmost point of the German-Danish border. The point is only 25 meters from the country road 192 between Harrislee and Ellund, but only a few drivers know that the border runs so close to the road. Photo taken: July 28, 2023.
