View on 15.10 after sunrise from the summit trail of the Brocken looking south over the western flank of the Wurmberg, the southern Harz to the Hainleite, the Bleicherode Mountains, and the Dün in Thuringia, which rise out of a sea of fog. Behind them, the northwestern part of the Thuringian Forest with the Großer Inselsberg can be faintly seen (left in the sea of fog below the horizon), and the foothills of the Rhön can be guessed (right in the sea of fog below the horizon)! The heath landscape of the Brocken is covered with hoarfrost.
