Looks very cold. It was. -7°C at 12 o'clock. Visible, at least barely discernible in the cold, is the Brocken station of the Harz narrow-gauge railway on the Brocken at an elevation of 1,125 meters. The Brocken summit itself is 1,142 meters. The Brocken sign is also frozen with snow. Somehow looks impressive :) But it was very cold. In the top left, you can just make out the transmission mast heavily iced over. The icy day was November 30, 2005.

Doesn't just look cold, -7° and icy wind are also very cold. The photo shows the inn Zum Brockenwirt. Apart from the Brocken Museum and the hotel, probably the only warm place that day. I took the photo on the Brocken on 30.11.2005.

The Three-Country Stone at Jägerfleck. Where Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia meet today, there has always been a border. This stone separated the Duchy of Brunswick, the Kingdom of Prussia (until 1866 the Kingdom of Hanover), and the County of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen. The change after 1866 is clearly visible. AB stands for the Hanoverian Amt Benneckenstein. Later, it was changed to KP - Kingdom of Prussia. The inner-German border also ran through this point.
