Rocks stained with seagull droppings, the air circling with seagulls, the sky adorned with clouds in the distance, the Irish Sea calm; not only Wales and England farther away than the horizon, but also Dublin seems to have receded into the far distance, although knowingly only fifteen kilometers from here – the Cliff Walk at Howth Head always transports me anew to another world. October 2006
