The Råbjerg Mile is the largest migrating dune in Denmark and is located south of Skagen in North Jutland. It is about 40 meters high and moves approximately 15 meters northeast each year. The dune contains millions of cubic meters of sand and offers an impressive landscape reminiscent of a desert. In addition to the 50 meters of the coastal cliff, the wind has accumulated another 50 meters of loose sand eroded over the past decades, making it one of the largest migrating dunes in Europe with a height of up to 100 meters. Each year, the dune advances an average of 15 meters.
