Perhaps we can also limit the non-European countries to continents.
For the final categories, the question arises whether to differentiate more by political boundaries, i.e., districts, or by contiguous landscape areas such as the Thuringian Forest, for example. So far, I have used both options, depending on the case.
I think the photographers will also provide sensible suggestions.

I think so too. This will have to settle down a bit first. At the moment, it is not yet clear how the categories can be structured most effectively, since sometimes quite large areas (e.g., rivers like the Oder) need to be accommodated, but sometimes also specific spots (e.g., the Hohe Stein in the Czech Republic).
