The gorge Kungsklyftan near Fjällbacka in western Sweden. For the filming of Ronja the Robber's Daughter, one of the later children's novels by the Swedish author Astrid Lindgren, the Kungsklyftan, which divides the local mountain Vetteberget into two uneven parts, was chosen as the filming location for the Wolf Gorge, the entrance to Mattisburg. The film was shot in 1984, but the Kungsklyftan has hardly changed to this day.
