ON THE KYRILL TRAIL IN THE SIEGERLAND ROTHAAR MOUNTAINS Only a few minutes during the night of January 18 to 19, 2007, were enough for the hurricane KYRILL to transform a 100-year-old spruce stand with some beeches and Douglas firs in the SIEGEN-WITTGENSTEIN forestry district into a chaos of fallen trees, upturned root plates, and shattered trunks...
