That's what I call grabbing the bull by the horns, Matthias.
When I find a power line in my photos, I remove it because I find it distracting. This image proves the opposite and shows that power lines can also be decorative.

Yes, most of the time the power lines disturb the image. But here I photographed because of the power lines, which cross so nicely.
However, the landscape at the bottom is quite limited in view, otherwise overhead lines of a railway track would have disturbed the image.

Ja, an diesem Tag sind wir von Hohtenn nach Ausserberg gewandert, mit einem Abstecher in die Jolibachschlucht, einem der Höhepunkte unseres Urlbaubes in der Schweiz.

Das ist die Brücke über den Risøysundet. Der Sund trennt Hinnøya von Andøya. Die Ansicht zeigt die Südrampe von Hinnyøya. Unterhalb der Brücke liegt der Hurtigrutenanleger von Risøyhamn. Vormittags kann man von der Brücke die Ankunft der Südgehenden erleben, wenn sie sich durch die Risøyrenne schlängelt und dann in Risøyhamn anlegt.

Wie oft ich über die Brücke gelaufen bin, weiß ich nicht. Unter der Brücke kann man auch schön Robben beobachten. Das Bild weckt schon schöne Erinnerungen und viel Vorfreude, da wir im Juni nach Stave zur Basstölpelsafari fahren.

Die Brücke ist so hoch, dass ein ausgewachsenes 17.000 Tonnen Pasagierschiff beim Osterhochwasser drunter passt. Aber von der Seite sieht die Brücke nicht so abenteuerlich aus.

The valley floor is now only present in fragments: If you look closely, you can see a four-lane highway, numerous power poles, and buildings placed in the landscape.
By the way, this is the view from our front door.

It was taken on the way home from the SFS Stuttgart-Mannheim, between Vaihingen/Enz and Stuttgart on the B10.
Unfortunately, I don't know the exact location, but just before Stuttgart on the B10 coming from Vaihingen/Enz:-)

One of the most interesting phenomena at Bryce Canyon is the way the light falls. Especially when rain clouds hang over the canyon and only occasionally break apart. I was lucky enough to experience this once. The first time in 2002 we had nice weather (on the one hand good, but on the other hand?!?), but on the second visit in 2006 we had varied weather with a great play of clouds and light.
A very beautiful image of a canyon that you can always rediscover!
