thank you for your praise! Yes, the extremely dynamic cloud cover repeatedly created interesting plays of light and shadow. It still took a little while until the castle ruins were fully illuminated by the sun.

Yes, there are sometimes those moments when you feel the need to stop and document the situation photographically - a typical example of that! ;-)

Thank you very much, Helmut! :-) I discovered this perspective out of necessity because the monument simply didn’t fit into any landscape-oriented image due to its vertical dimensions. So I walked around up there a bit, and suddenly I spontaneously liked this rear view: The emperor looks out over the land he once ruled – and the viewer looks over his shoulder from a respectful distance and hidden behind trees! The trees integrated into the image are meant to distract from the fact that the monument doesn’t fully fit into the frame. ;-)
