The photo shows the last of the ten information boards of the Heinrich Heine Trail. On this board, which is located on the Brocken, you can read a part of the book 'The Harz Journey' (1824) by Heinrich Heine, in which he talks about the Brocken.
The text reads: 'The Brocken is a German. With German thoroughness, it shows us, clearly and distinctly, like a giant panorama, the many hundreds of small towns and villages, mostly lying to the north, and all around the mountains, forests, rivers infinitely far.'

The Rhine Gorge is best accessible by the RhB (stations Trin, Versam-Safien, Valendas-Sagogn, and Castrisch), on foot, by kayak, or by inflatable boat.
