Jarosław Swajdo
Since I saw daylight for the first time in a genuine railway town, and at the same time as a member of a railway family, I am almost inevitably interested in everything related to the railway sector. One result of my fantastic EUROPE-wide train journeys in the 1990s is a number of railway photos (station buildings, station halls, station scenes, rail vehicles, urban traffic, etc.) that were partly published in contemporary (Polish) newspapers and magazines. Hundreds of EUROPEAN cities have been experienced by me, from Narva in Estonia to Milan and Lisbon, from small towns in Eastern Europe to metropolitan cities in the West. Nevertheless, or perhaps precisely because of this, I recently decided not to live in any city at all. I spend the settled part of my life quietly and in solitude, almost completely isolated, amidst forests and fields, about 130 km south of Warsaw, near the 200,000-inhabitant regional capital Kielce in culturally and historically Congress Poland (Central Poland).
