After hours of rain, the sun on one hand and the dark clouds on the other gave us this wonderful atmosphere. (15.08.2010) (go to image)

Shot from our balcony: The Dents-du-Midi at dusk. The mountain massif was beautifully highlighted by the last rays of the sun. (18.08.2008) (go to image)

Good evening Christine,
even from home you were lucky to capture the Dents de Midi cloudless in the image. We really like the special atmosphere when the mountains are illuminated by the last evening light.
Greetings from Luxembourg.

Good evening Jeanny and Hans,
thank you for the comment.
Despite my currently limited range of activity, I do not let photography slip away from me and thus discover subjects otherwise overlooked: The Dents-de-Midi were firmly wrapped in clouds during the day. Only in the evening did they dissolve and all the peaks became clearly and distinctly visible.

Great picture, it's very difficult to get the animals properly into the frame, I'm still practicing.

Hello Thomas,
I am still practicing as well. But the bumblebees seem to love the coneflowers. They visit them daily on our balcony, and I sit there almost as often trying to get a good photo or two.
Thanks for the comment.

Good morning Thomas,
thank you for the kind comment. This is, in the truest sense of the word, a snapshot, because one minute later this effect had already disappeared.
Best regards
