Hello Armin,
I'm glad you like the shot.
The dryness last year at Lake Constance allowed for some photos that were no longer possible this year as the water level of Lake Constance is thankfully higher again.
Best regards
Christine

Well, the water level in 2018 was not as severe as the drought suggested. In September, the water level is generally somewhat higher, and lower water levels have also occurred in other years. In 2003, it was even significantly lower, and the envelope of historical records suggests even more extreme variations. Unlike other German bodies of water, Lake Constance was only marginally affected. Sensational news was more a wish of the press than a reflection of reality. Low water levels are always to be expected from January to March anyway. This also makes the hearts of collectors of Stone Age artifacts beat faster.

Thank you very much for the comments.
We were also very lucky. During our stay on the island of Kvaløya near Tromsø, there was high solar activity and almost always a clear sky. This allowed us to observe the Northern Lights on seven out of eight nights. They were sometimes very intense.
Best regards
André

Nice, the picture of Dirrengrind obviously inspired you to also show a bit of Brienz. The series is very interesting.

Yes Olli, the photos from Brienz were waiting to be edited and the days between Christmas and New Year offered time and leisure to finally complete this task.
We were lucky to experience three contrasting weather and lighting conditions at the Rothorn over the three days, so the shots turned out quite different and clearly reflect the weather caprices in the high mountains.

Thank you Helmut,
the clouds and the fog completely transformed the landscape, and the impressive spectacle changed from one minute to the next. I’m glad you like the fleeting glimpse.

Funny how the sun is already disappearing "into nowhere" over the horizon there. A wonderful atmosphere.

Probably the fog banks over the cold Atlantic. On the coast, the water temperature was quite pleasant, even though the season suggested otherwise...

Hello Christine and Stefan, we gave the ice the penultimate polish so that a curling tournament could be played on it the next day. The following day it was so stormy that sometimes you were blown across the ice by the wind. Regards, Olli

In my opinion, only a close circle of candidates was suitable for the idea and execution... great job, Christine!
A few remaining (backlight) sun rays are still enough to cast shadows. Here you can see that even dark clouds – skillfully captured – can create beautiful photos.
Best regards, Volkmar
