Great bad weather shot. These darn Alps attract rain like a magnet attracts iron!

Thanks for the praise, Stefan. I was initially unsure whether to upload it. The weather in the mountains is often unpredictable. In 1993, I had already experienced a completely rainy vacation in Lucerne, and the weather forecast for this trip wasn’t great either – it was supposed to be changeable. But in fact, the inevitable rain usually only came in the late afternoon or early evening, by which time I was already back from my excursions. I didn’t have to open my umbrella even once; most of the time it was quite sunny while I was out.
Best regards, Thomas

Yes, the train journey from Bray to Greystone is impressive, but even though the trains here don't travel fast, the trip passes by far too quickly.
Fortunately, there is a hiking trail...

The play of clouds in the sky creates the dramaturgy of a powerful maritime image.
(A cloudless sky is mainly offered in travel catalogs
usually including palm trees)
A sky covered with clouds, in this industry, spoils the commerce;-))

Hello Armin
I had the (almost) cloudless sky a good Guinness later, enjoyed the view over Galway Bay to the Burren, before clouds and threatening rain drove me back to Galway again. Typically Irish changeable...

Not only I, but also the seagulls are fascinated by the view of the rocks and the sea.

Impressive! Interesting that the rock layers run at such an angle.

Hello Martin, a beautiful photo, colorful yet harmonious colors; the slightly undulating landscape and the two (!) rainbow beginnings are excellently complemented by the power/telephone line with its wooden poles running along the left side of the image.

Hello,
Thank you for your detailed and kind comment;-)
A little later, the rainbow approach turned into a full double arc, something I had never seen before, a double ring from left to right and vice versa. Unfortunately, I couldn't capture the huge arc, but if there were landscape videos, I would have filmed the entire arc;-)
Landscape regards,
Martin

Once again, an image that conveys more mood than it has pixels.
And proof that "good photo weather" only partially corresponds to the usual term "good weather".

Oh! A ship in the middle of the landscape!
But beautiful!

Thanks for the praise and the comments.
I classified the photo as a landscape image because the cutter is moving in the mudflats in front of Borkum. One must consider that the water depth is sometimes less than 0.8m and you could easily move around on foot there.
Greetings from the Ruhr area
