Thank you very much Willi for your comment. In this gorge, there are many such smaller waterfalls along the hiking trail, and on this hot day, it was the ideal hiking path.

In my opinion, only a close circle of candidates was suitable for the idea and execution... great job, Christine!
A few remaining (backlight) sun rays are still enough to cast shadows. Here you can see that even dark clouds – skillfully captured – can create beautiful photos.

At least you still have a very beautiful background. For my poppy shots, I had to do a lot of cropping or contortions. On two sides there was a substation, a road with parked trucks, and on the fourth side a cemetery right next door.

Oh dear, you can't see that in your pictures. With this field, it was located on the border of the industrial zone of Bex. That means there was a factory on the right side as well, so we could only take shots in that direction.

you are right. We noticed that too. For years, there was hardly any poppy here and only a few rapeseed fields, but this year there are suddenly several. Maybe someone has discovered a market niche. Be that as it may, such a sight delights the heart.

wir waren im Juni 2009 in Sassnitz, und ich weiss was du meinst. Von dieser Seite aus gesehen ist der Vergleich ziemlich gut. Die Berge sind auf der anderen Seite, wurden aber an diesem Tag leider vom Nebel und den dunklen Wolken umhüllt.

yes, our region is truly beautiful, but to keep it that way, sometimes you have to actively protect it. For example, Lavaux was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site to preserve it and prevent overdevelopment. You can clearly see the damage that uncontrolled construction can cause in and around Montreux.
