Hello Lawrence,
the picture is beautiful. Especially in slightly hazy weather, the sunsets are wonderful and also quite good to photograph.
Greetings from Luxembourg.

Good evening Jeanny,
Thank you for the kind comment. I am glad that you like the shot. The opportunity simply arose and I am also satisfied with the result - even though the protruding antenna (one might think it is the tip of a tree) is included.
Best regards to Luxembourg and au revoir: Lawrence

Hello Lawrence,
I have to agree with Jeanny, something like this is only possible with haze or veil clouds, well captured, I like it.
Regards, Rüdiger

That's what I call grabbing the bull by the horns, Matthias.
When I find a power line in my photos, I remove it because I find it distracting. This image proves the opposite and shows that power lines can also be decorative.
Best regards
Jeanny

Yes, most of the time the power lines disturb the image. But here I photographed because of the power lines, which cross so nicely.
However, the landscape at the bottom is quite limited in view, otherwise overhead lines of a railway track would have disturbed the image.
Best regards, Matthias

Hello Jeanny,
thank you very much for your kind comment. I just thought that the picture could be seen as a symbol for the end of this long winter - that's why the title... nice that you like it ;-)

Christine

This image also lacks sound, Christine.
You don't need much imagination to hear the noises.
Wonderfully captured.
Greetings from Luxembourg.

Hello Jeanny,
we can roughly imagine what the pair of grebes had to tell each other...
This species of duck has a funny mating ceremony. They puff up their heads so much that the heads appear round due to the feathers, then they quack at each other, turn their heads in opposite directions, look at each other again, and then throw their heads back. The whole thing only lasts a few minutes and looks like a disco dance.
Best regards, Christine

Hallo Marina,

Hello Stefan,
similar cloud formations are currently often seen here as well, but unfortunately we don't have a lake, so I especially like your picture.
Best regards
Hans

Hello Hans,
thank you. After the suddenly appearing thunderclouds ruined a CIS shot for me, at least this atmospheric image turned out well.
Best regards
Stefan

And the fourth signpost looks like it is pointing directly over the lake. The image is definitely much more than compensation for the missed train shot...

Hallo Matthias,
MfG Christine
