Here comes the storm from June 9, 2015, approaching Grevenbroich from Belgium. Under the wall of clouds, you can already see the rain. From a distance, you could tell that something big was coming because there were lightning flashes every second in the distance. With winds of about 133 km/h, the storm swept over Grevenbroich, uprooting numerous trees and completely halting rail traffic in Grevenbroich for 2-3 days. After the muggy days, a total of about 5 thunderstorms passed over Grevenbroich in 3 days. According to reports, this storm was more severe than Hurricane Kyrill. an impressive image. It really looks gloomy. We were lucky again in sunny Bavaria. In the far southeast, it remained completely calm.

Yes, the wall looked threatening and it quickly became as dark as night. According to the news, the storm was worse than Kyrill.
It took exactly 7 days for all train traffic in Grevenbroich to recover from it.
