When I arrived in Thuringia for vacation on May 26, 2020, the 916m high Große Inselsberg first appeared near Brotterode. A detour to the summit was already planned for the coming days. 

Tree canopy walkway in Hainich National Park. Thuringian Forest in September 2019. Wonderful this circular walk among the treetops, especially beautiful in autumn. Anyone who also wants to catch a magnificent view over the national park can do so from the observation tower. 
