In the Dwingelderveld National Park in the Netherlands. From the mid-19th century, the northern part of today's national park was afforested. At Lheeder- and Lheebroekerzand, you will encounter beautiful fir forests. Idyllic peat pools and small heathland areas are also hidden within the forested areas, such as the Zandveen or the Groote veen.
