Those who want to explore the Etna volcano in Sicily by cable car can do so at the Rifugio Sapienza on the south side of the volcano. The Funivia dell’Etna starts at about 1900 meters altitude and reaches the intermediate station La Montagnola at about 2500 meters in just over 15 minutes. Photo taken: July 2013. 
