The National Memorial to Sailors Who Died for France at Pointe Saint-Mathieu on 01.10.2016. Pointe Saint-Mathieu is the westernmost point of France. As a monument in memory of those who lost their lives in maritime disasters, Pointe Saint-Mathieu is located on a cliff about 20 meters high in the municipality of Plougonvelin.
