A new passenger cabin cable car has been built at the west side of the Edersee Dam, providing passengers, especially seniors, wheelchair users, and disabled individuals, with a step-free and comfortable access to the passenger ships. This system can be used as a normal gangway installation up to an incline of 8°. At steeper inclines, the cable car cabin travels from the shore to the ship or vice versa. Here is a passenger ship at the pier. Photo taken on 20.09.2009.
