The following 6 images are intended as a small documentation of the passage of a severe storm over the Elbe Valley in Saxon Switzerland. All shots were taken on 30.08.2012 from the passenger steamer Meissen near the town of Bad Schandau. Here is image 1: While it almost becomes night in the Elbe Valley due to the approaching thunderstorm, massive cloud towers are already swelling over the Czech Republic, still illuminated by the sun at the upper parts.

The following 6 images are intended as a small documentation of the passage of a severe storm over the Elbe Valley in Saxon Switzerland. The Lichtenhainer Waterfall near Bad Schandau, photographed on 23.06.2012. The image shows it in its normal state, shortly before the half-hour show flooding. By the way, this is also the final stop of the popular Kirnitzschtalbahn ! Unfortunately, the final stop is currently out of service due to flood-related construction work, so the tram only runs up to the preceding stop Beuthenfall ! A full reopening of the entire route is expected in autumn 2012.
