Water landscape in the Heidegarten Schneverdingen, October 2014. The common heather in the Lüneburg Heath Nature Park has long since faded, but the colorful cultivated varieties in the Heidegarten delight us well into autumn.

Vast land and long paths, the Weseler Heide in October 2012, the heath has now been faded for 4 weeks, the yellow wire grass (dry grassland) still shines in the low sun. Now it becomes lonely in the heath, but ideal for those seeking peace and relaxation. By the way, on the left side (no longer in the picture), there is a large sheep barn.

The Borsteler Kuhle in February 2013, not far from Bispingen, this former sand quarry has developed into a natural beauty. One could also call this heath hollow the little brother of the Totengrund in the High Heath, as there are many parallels.

This is also a typical landscape in the Lüneburg Heath, the dry grassland [wire grass], reminiscent of the prairie, as here in the high summer of 2014 near Oberhaverbeck. The Heidschnucken sheep now have to roam far and wide to quench their thirst at the last watering holes.

Blooming heath on the Sellhorner Weg, the view goes to the Turmberg near Oberhaverbeck, on the map the Turmberg is mistakenly labeled as Wemberg.... Photo from 2014, but you can also see that from the Exif data, which is why I have not disabled it.
