Wolf territory in the quiet & lonely Röders Heide. Not far from here, the hiker can see the tall towers of the rides at Heide Park Soltau. However, tourists usually do not stray here, an unknown area away from the traffic flows. Signs rightly warn of the wolf here, which feels particularly comfortable here, completely undisturbed. Wolf tracks in the damp sand prove its presence. October 2018 

Land of the "open distances"; the forest on the edge of the national park trail between Silberteich and Hahnenkleeklippen, formerly a monotonous spruce plantation, has completely restructured since the founding of the national park in the 1990s.
