We are at the Perfstausee in Breidenstein! The water surface is almost as flat as a mirror, and the reflections of the group of trees in the water's mirror are clearly visible. I think it's a really successful snapshot that invites you to pause for a moment and enjoy! Taken on: 18.03.2009

The venerable Breidenstein Castle in the afternoon sun!<br>On the left, you can see the new castle. On the right (slightly lower), the old castle is visible. The oldest part dates back to the 13th century. The castle is occasionally inhabited! On the diagonal line between the new and old castle, you can see the former village chapel! Almost a ruin, someone took pity on it and renovated it so that currently someone lives inside! Very beautiful half-timbered construction. Taken on: 18.03.2009

The final phase of the walk through the winter forest in the year 2006! Soon the Biedenkopf Castle will come into view! Only about fifteen minutes left to walk at most, then we will see Biedenkopf Castle! In Biedenkopf, we will round off the walk with a beer and then take the bus back to the town of Breidenstein!!! The landscape is not only charming in winter! For mountain bikers, the path described here offers pure nature! It includes everything: from paved roads to natural trails to gravel paths! It features inclines and stretches that are almost flat! Anyone who wants to get close to nature in peace should definitely try this route!

No idea what kind of cattle these are. I think they are probably woolly cattle, which actually aren't native here! We're slowly entering the final stretch and will soon be in Biedenkopf!

After a few hundred meters uphill, a small rest break is granted! Here you can imagine how beautiful a forest looks under a blanket of snow!

Beginning of the walk through the winter forest! The Perf in winter magic. It is probably better known for the Perfstausee, which actually serves as a flood retention basin!
