The Spreewald is one of the most idyllic landscapes in Germany. Vast nature reserves and the relatively low density of roads allow for beautiful longer hikes, canoeing, and cycling tours. Motorboats are not allowed on the local rivers, which makes the area interesting not only for the eyes but also for the ears. Autumn 2006
