This distant view of over 100 kilometers was seen on 01.08.2007 from the Blauen (Hochblauen), 1165 m, in the Southern Black Forest. Above the haze in the Swiss Plateau, of course, the 3000- and 4000-meter peaks of the Alps were visible, in front of them the Jura (Basel-Land and Aargau), and in front of that the Dinkelberg or Oetlinger Hills near Lörrach. The image is displayed slightly darker to preserve the "highlights". 
