Under the morning red, the Alps - View from Überlingen over Lake Constance to the ridge of the Alps. In front, two ferries can be seen on their route between Meersburg and Konstanz. Story behind the image: On this morning, we were able to see the Alps for the first time during our stay in Überlingen. Unfortunately, although prepared, I had forgotten the camera at the hotel. So I quickly went back and just in time managed to take a few shots before the sky clouded over again shortly afterward. 11.02.2018 (8)

A cloudburst is approaching us - 12 minutes after the top image, it looked like this. On the right side, a strong cloudburst with a sharp boundary is visible, moving towards us. As it got closer, the noise and pattering grew louder, like I had never experienced before. There were hardly any hailstones, so the hail pilot probably did his job well. However, the scientific benefit has not been proven. 01.08.2017 (M)
