Almost there. The large opening into the world of ice giants is near. Once there, you still have to go up and down many more steps. But you are rewarded with an incredible ice world.

The evening sun brightly illuminates Fiegl's guesthouse at 1915 m in the Windach Valley in the Stubai Alps. From here, it still takes another 3 hours if you want to go to the Siegerland Hut or the Hildesheim Hut.

After showing the first photos at Bahnbilder yesterday, I would now like to share a few landscape images as well. I hope you like them. Evening mood at the chapel near Fiegl's inn in the Windach Valley, Stubai Alps, with a view to the west over Sölden towards the Ötztal Alps.

View from the rest area on the way to the Fern Pass looking north over the Blindsee towards the Zugspitze massif. I have driven this route many times, but I cannot pass here without stopping to enjoy this view.
