Uploading portrait-oriented images not possible?

Hello everyone, I am still quite new here and wanted to share my photos in this forum. Especially with landscape and city photos, many of my images are in portrait format, as I find this format more suitable. When I try to upload them here, they are automatically rotated by 90° and rejected by the admins (rightly so, of course, who wants to see twisted images). I have already tried a few things to prevent this unwanted rotation, but the websites refuse. Does this error only occur for me? There are quite a few portrait photos from other users here.
