Of course, everyone will consider their photos to be the best and definitely worth showing [we all know that feeling from somewhere ;-)].
Limiting to 5 or 6 per day (which is still quite a lot - the year has ...) would certainly lead to a more thorough selection process and encourage setting "higher standards" for oneself and one's photos.
I think the suggestion is good, and it is definitely worth discussing.
