Very impressive landscape! Also beautiful with the fog in the valley.

Best regards, Matthias

The name Metéora is derived from meteorizo (μετεωρίζω), which means "to lift into the air." This name describes the location of the monasteries, which were built on high sandstone rocks and sometimes appear to be floating in misty air. Image from the slide. Photo: June 1992. 
