The Jeersdorfer Heath is a foundation.

(ID 35735)

The Jeersdorfer Heath is a foundation. The area is hardly larger than a football field. It is lovingly maintained every year. In the past, the heath stretched all the way to the A1 motorway; in Sittensen, there is still a local heritage house and a local heritage association, where the old heath tradition is remembered. Today, we mainly associate heath with the Lüneburg Heath Nature Reserve, but there are still many smaller heath areas, including in the Rotenburg district and the Winsen/Luhe district.
