The vastness of the lake impressed us greatly. However, we were a bit uncertain on the ice, because although it was frozen and checked daily, we could hear the unfrozen water moving beneath our feet. These sounds gave the walk on the ice a special touch.

We were a little worried at first. But once we knew that the ice is checked every day, we really enjoyed the walk on the lake.
