EAST PIER OF THE REMAGEN BRIDGE ON THE RHINE RIVER BANK NEAR ERPEL
The 335-meter-long  LUDENDORFF BRIDGE  over the RHINE at REMAGEN/ERPEL
was the last intact railway bridge at the end of World War II,
captured intact by the advancing American troops,
but collapsed a few days later due to overloading...
