Illusion also (almost) perfectly succeeded.

(ID 9016)

A butterfly unknown to me flew in front of my lens.

Lonely and abandoned, this cart stands on the beach of Blankenberge.

Belgium / Province of West Flanders / North Sea coast

Illusion also (almost) perfectly succeeded. Palm trees on the North Sea coast in Blankenberge photographed on 12.09.08. The palm trees are made of plastic. ☺ (Jeanny)

Hello Jeanny,
what's missing are towels lined up towel to towel, sun-worshipping summer vacationers...
No, seriously, the picture is beautiful, especially because of the relaxing emptiness on the beach.
The plastic palm leaves processed into pixels and sent through the cables from the coast to the Alps are very well received here.
Greetings from Blonay

Thank you Stefan, for the kind comments.
You are right, if I had photographed this spot in summer, you probably wouldn't see much sand. ☺
That's why we prefer to go to the North Sea in spring or autumn, even in winter. These seasons are better suited for hiking and photography.
Greetings to Blonay.
