On the slope of the Rüdesheimer Berg stands the ruins of Ehrenfels Castle. It was built at the beginning of the 13th century. danke für dein Lob! Ja, die äußerst dynamische Bewölkung hat immer wieder interessante Licht- und Schattenspiele erzeugt. Es hat dennoch ein wenig gedauert, bis die Burgruine komplett von der Sonne angestrahlt wurde.

Vielen Dank, Helmut! :-) Diese Perspektive hab ich aus der Not heraus entdeckt, dass das Denkmal in seinen vertikalen Ausmaßen einfach in kein Querformat-Bild passte. Also bin ich da oben ein bisschen rumgelaufen und plötzlich gefiel mir spontan diese Rückansicht: Der Kaiser blickt über das Land, das er einst beherrschte - und der Betrachter schaut ihm aus einer respektvollen Distanz und hinter Bäumen versteckt über die Schulter! Die ins Bild integrierten Bäume sollen davon ablenken, dass das Denkmal nicht voll ins Bild passt. ;-)
