Yes, there were fire watch shifts for the first three nights, which were carried out by civil protection. I was there with the military, and during the day we searched for smoldering hotspots. Three times a Super Puma flew over the burned area with a thermal imaging camera, allowing us to locate the hotspots fairly accurately.

It was an area of about 40 hectares that burned down. Unfortunately, it was not possible for me to capture the entire area in one photo. I will try to upload more pictures of the fire soon, but unfortunately it is a bit difficult because many photos have military personnel in them.....
